Roman John Mohs was born to his parents George & Katherine (Kollman) Mohs on March 8, 1919 near Cold Spring, Minnesota. He passed away on Sunday evening at the Elders Home in New York Mills. Romey was united in marriage to Dorothy Roggenkamp on November 7, 1939 in Bluffton. Roman and Dorothy made their home in rural Bluffton for many years where they farmed and he did carpentry work. He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Aid Society and the Bluffton Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends.
Romey was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy on January 12, 1998; sons Roger and Robert; daughter Cheryl Frost; brothers Nick, Leander, Norbert, Wilfred, Art, Ervin, Frank, George, Raymond & Alfred; sisters Marie O'Connoer & Lorraine Klinnert; son in law Rick Frost; granddaughter Jennifer Mohs and infant twin grandsons.
Burial will take place next to his wife in the St. John's Cemetery in Bluffton following the services.
