Cecil Cannon Smith, 66, of 622 Fairmont Road, died at his residence Thursday after a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Bruce Cannon and Minnie Lawless Smith.
Born in Oconee County, he was a retired worker for Barton Grocery Co, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dot Whitaker Smith; sons, David Smith, Beaufort, SC and Doug Gary, San Antonio, Texas; sister Mrs. Ross "Margaret" Kelly of Anderson and three grandchildren.
Graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park by Dr. James P. Craine.
The body is at McDougald's North Chapel, the family is at the residence.
