Obituary for Annette Simpson Powell
A native of Cordele, Mrs. Powell died on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon at the age of 73. She was the daughter of the late Hubert James Simpson and the late Deltha Beatrice Barefoot Powell. She was a retired bookkeeper for Goodyear and member of Hatley Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Earl Powell, and a son, James A. Powell.
She is survived by her daughter: Diane Gandy and her husband Dave; her brother: Dwayne Simpson of Cordele; her sister: Cheryl Conner of Cordele; her grandchildren: Anna Powell, Lee Powell and Jason Powell; her great-grandchild: Belle Powell; her niece Pam Clements and her husband Jonathan of Cordele; and her great-nieces: Lauren Clements and Allyssa Clements.
