Paula Rasmussen, age 60, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Paula is survived by her husband of 37 years, Christopher Kenneth Rasmussen, children, Elena Marie Lenz and her husband, Mike, Anna Maria Rasmussen, Benjamin J. Rasmussen, and Tessa Marie Rasmussen; grandchildren, Jakob Miguel and Gabriella Marie Lenz, all of Albuquerque. sisters, Peggy Brown, Betty Coughlin and Theresa Bocquin and her husband, Jim, brothers, Benjamin Brown and his wife, Kay and Paul Brown and his wife, Jane. Paula was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Michael Brown. Paula was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Paula owned and operated Paula's Pre-School for many years. A Rosary will be recited on March 2, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at French – University location, with Deacon Tom Jones reciting. Mass will be celebrated on March 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Christopher Kenneth Rasmussen, Benjamin J. Rasmussen, Mike Lenz II, Benjamin Brown, Paul Brown and Michael Roger Deyhle. Friends may visit one hour prior to the Rosary. Paula is a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, Nana, aunt, great-aunt, daughter-in-law, cousin, God-mother, mother-in-law, friend, teacher, dedicated walker, gardener, cook, avid reader, belly dancer, scrap-booker, artist and collector of "this and that" and guardian angel who will be greatly missed.
