July 5, 1926 - February 29, 2012
Gravois Mills, Mo. —
Lloyd H. Anderson, age 85, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, peacefully passed away on February 29, 2012, at the Laurie Care Center. He was born on July 5, 1926, in Stanton, Iowa.
He loved life, dancing, fishing and talking to everyone. He never met a stranger.
Lloyd was a World War II Navy Veteran. He saw the world and was awarded many prestigious medals.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his first wife, Zelma, of 46 years and his second wife, Joyce of 6 years, his brother Robert and his sister Monita. His is survived by a sister, Elaine and husband Andy Rossi of Kansas City, MO, his sisters-in-law, Theo Anderson of Spokane, WA, and Sibyl Way of Blue Springs, MO and several nieces and nephews. Lloyd will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel with Chaplain Ray Bassett officiating. Entombment with full military honors will follow in the Columbarium at Garber Memorial Estates in Laurie. Expressions of sympathy may be left online at www.kidwellgarber.com.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.

Bio: Lloyd was first married to Zelma Mae Garrett on 29 March 1952 in Jackson county, Missouri by Rev. I.F. Whitcomb.
Zelma died in 1998 and on 21 October 2000 Lloyd married Joyce (Quincy) Prell.
