Brig. Gen. Hall F. Achenbach, 94, of Pine Haven, Lock Haven, formerly of 426 W. Main St., Lock Haven, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002 in Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Born Feb. 14, 1908 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Guy Hall and Anne Freed Achenbach.
He attended Penn State for a year and graduated in 1934 from Lock Haven University, where he met his wife, Elizabeth Fredericks Fullmer. They were united in marriage Nov. 26, 1936 in Great Island Presbyterian Church, Lock Haven, she survives.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, with full military honors. Officiating will be Rev. Kenneth Page of the Great Island Presbyterian Church and Maj. Daniel Hilty of the Lock Haven Salvation Army. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. with Masonic services at 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the donors favorite local charity.
