Kuhn, Ruth Bushnell

A 27 year old wife, who works for the Douglas Aircraft Corporation, missed a date with her Army Sergeant husband, Monday afternoon. He found her at home dead.

The woman, Mrs. Ruth Kuhn, died from fumes from a gas heater, still burning high when her body was discovered in the couple's new Midwest City home, into which they had moved only Saturday.

Sunday morning, the husband, Sgt. Frankie L. Kuhn, left his wife at work at the Douglas plant and he went to Ft. Reno where he is on duty for alternate 24 hour periods. They agreed to meet Monday afternoon at a Midwest City drug store.

Sergeant Kuhn waited and when she didn't appear, he borrowed keys to his new home and found her there.

"She apparently came home from work Sunday afternoon tired and cold," Sergeant Kuhn said. "She must have turned the fire up high and gone to bed. It was a new home -- everything was sealed tight."

J.H. McInturf, Midwest City Police Chief, said Mrs. Kuhn's body was removed to the Garrison Funeral Home. She was an employee of the Douglas Aircraft since last May.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Bushnell, Needville, Texas; three brothers, N.A. Bushnell, Houston, Texas, L.A. Bushnell, Beasley, Texas and C.M. Bushnell, Needville, Texas; and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Roberts, Highlands, Texas, Mrs. Clara Oliver, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Peggy Krobot, Needville and Mrs. Gertrude A. Schmidt, Freeport, Texas.
