William T. Brown went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2009 at his home in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on October 12, 1919 in Nelson, Georgia, one of nine children born to James and Melinda Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brown, who he married on October 11, 1952. He is also survived by six children, Kris McCorkle, Brigette Allard, Joe Brown, Justine Coan, Theresa Lay, and Anne Larkey, and one remaining brother, Wayne Brown. He had 13 grandchildren: Katie, Christopher, Jeanette, Lorraine, Johnny, Kenny, Jimmy, Bernadette, Ally, Max, Maggie, Matthew, and Samantha.

Mr. Brown was a veteran of World War II, an Air Force pilot who served in the Pacific theater. Following the war, he began a long career as a commercial pilot, which lead him to both Memphis and to Barbara, his love of 57 years. He and Barbara traveled extensively around the world and enjoyed cooking and good food together. He read extensively. Both were long time members of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Entombment - Monday November 30, 2009, at Memorial Park Mausoleum

The family requests that memorial donations be made to either the building fund of Holy Rosary Catholic Church or Crossroads Hospice of Memphis.
