RE: "O.M.D. Scott". The correct name is George M. D. Scott. The majority of information comes from an interview with his father, also named George, on pages 1211 & 1212 of "Portrait and biographical album of Lenawee County, Michigan" published in 1888.

George M.D. Scott was born circa 1844 (give or take a year) to English immigrants George Scott (b. Cumberland England 3/12/1803) and Mary Pratt Scott (born? - died 1874). George M.D. married Martha Wimple (b. 1852). Martha was the daughter of John F. & Cornelia (Bradley) Wimple. George M.D. & Martha had two children - John (b. 8/5/1872) & Lena May (b. 8/21/1876). George M.D. Scott died 8/15/1880. Widow Martha (Wimple) Scott Chaffee married Frank Chaffee. Martha & Frank had two additional children - Clyde (b. 1881) & Alta (b. 1890).
