Mrs. Mary Bakutis, 84, of 1812 Peoria Road, died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital, where she had been a medical patient since Monday.
A resident of Springfield for 60 years, Mrs. Bakutis was born in Lithuania the daughter of Jacob and Barbara Ousuraiti Paulowski. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1948.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Ronnie Beck of Chicago; one son, Tony Bakutis of Springfield; and one grand-daughter. The body is at Kirlin and Egan Funeral home.
