Jane was the daughter of Martin and Grisel (Patterson) Jameson.

Jane married William McLellan in 1773. Jane and William had 4 children. Their children were William (1776-1844), Harriet (1778-1847), George (1781-1801) and Mary (1784-1834). All of their children were born in Falmouth ME.
