Percy Wilton Hicks was born in Park Hill, Cherokee Nation, IT, the son of Abijah Hicks b. Mar. 2, 1819, in TN, d. June 4, 1862, (married Jan 30, 1852) and Hannah Worcester, b. Jan. 29, 1834, d. Feb. 3, 1917, who married on 22 Dec 1864,(2) Daniel Dwight Hitchcock b. 19 Dec 1822, and had one daughter: Sarah Daisy Hitchcock b. 6 Oct 1866 in Fort Gibson, IT.

He had the following siblings all born at Park Hill: Emma Isadore b. 19 Jun 1854m d, 3 Jan 1943 at Muskogee, OK; Edith H.( or Ann Edith) b. 6 Jan 1856 d. 10 Oct 1941 who married Charles W. Smith and Richard M. Walker; Clara Austin b. 23 Nov 1858, d. 4 Jun 1950 at Muskogee, OK,who married Nicholas McNair Thornton (buried at Citizens) and George I. Hopson; and Herbert Worcester Hicks b. 18 May 1861, d. 5 Apr 1949 in Vinita, Craig Co., OK, who married Rachel Ray Cardwell.
