SGT US ARMY WORLD WAR II

Charles Raymond Jordan, 90, of Ninety Six, SC, husband of Helen Satcher Timmerman Jordan, died Sunday, September 5, 2004 at his home.

Born in McCormick County, he was a son of the late Charles Edward and Belle Elizabeth (Carroll) Jordan. He was first married to the late Mary (Price) Jordan.

He was retired from Adams Construction Company, was a World War II Army veteran where he served with the 106th Infantry at the Battle of the Bulge, and attended Northside Holiness Church.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Al White of Greenwood, Marie and Hugh Taylor of Hodges, and Patricia and Billy R. Williams of Hodges; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry Price of Hodges, and Teddy and Connie Jordan of Ninety-Six; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Robert and Caridad Timmerman of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Connie Timmerman Jordan of Ninety-Six; a sister, Annie Bell Simons of Lake Murray; grandchildren, Alf and Stacy White, Amy W. and Richard Craig, Allison White, Timberly Williams and Rocky Strickland, Patty and Roy Finley, Charles Christopher Jordan, and Marissa and Katelyn Timmerman; six great-grandchildren, Blake and Brandt White, Cameron Craig, Kristin Strickland, Stone Strickland, and Jarrid Price.

Services were 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at Harley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial followed in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, with military honors.

Pallbearers were John Davis, Johnny Anderson, Reggie Redd, Brian Johnson, Billy Mitchell and Billy Ray Mitchell.

Honorary escorts were be Dr. Oliver T. Willard, Butch White, Walt Smith, Harold Simon, Johnny Parker, Vernon Parker, Cecil Parker, and Henry Johnson.

The family received friends at Harley Funeral Home, Monday night, September 6, 2004, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Memorials could be made to Northside Family Worship Center and Church.
