Cross, Floyd R.. - Age 81, of Flint, died Monday, May 4, 1998 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, May 7, 1998 at Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Road, Flint. His son officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park where military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #3087. Family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM today at the funeral home.
Floyd was born October 6, 1916 in Caro, MI, the son of Charles and Beulah Cross. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Floyd married October 5, 1946. Surviving are: wife; daughter; 3 sons; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; twin brother, Lloyd Cross; a sister; a brother; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Leonard Cross and sister Aleta Burgess.
