Oriville "Kenneth" Lumbert, 67, of Coloma passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven, MI after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial will follow at Fish Cemetery in Covert. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 6 – 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service. Kenny was born in Benton Harbor, MI on February 8, 1942 to Clarence and Caroline Lumbert. From an early age, he was raised by his foster parents Marjorie and Alvin Zick. Kenny grew up on the family farm and continued working there throughout his life. He loved working on mechanical things and repairing lawn mowers, engines and even bicycles. Kenny was also a member of the Watervliet Free Methodist Church.

Kenny is survived by his foster mother, Marjorie Zick of Coloma; his sister Linda (Verlin) Hunt of Covert; nephews Leroy Hunt and Jack (Carolyn) Hunt; a niece, Cindy (Dave) Udell, his special great nephew Matthew Hunt; a close friend, Florence Fairbanks, and his friend and neighbor, Carolyn Norton. He was loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Loeda Allen in 2006, and his foster dad Alvin Zick in 2007.
