Jean Dickey Leahy, 89, of Vanport, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born March 31, 1915, in Rochester, a daughter of the late Alaska and Nancy Evans Dickey, she was a resident of Vanport since 1953 and retired from Duquesne Light after 43 years of service. She was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church; United Methodist Women; Medical Center Auxiliary, and the New Brighton Century Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Leahy, and three sisters, Thelma Howe, Llda Dickey and Gladys McCullough. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Lawrence (Norma Jean) Deemer, Beaver, and Becky Wilczek, Ronks, Pa.; several other nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law, Jean Nagle and Dolores Fellenz.
