She was born November 7, 1926 in Burkesville, Kentucky.
She was a retired nurses aide at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana and a member of the Fairview Christian Church on Underwood, Indiana.
Nellie was preceded in death by her first husband, William Henry Westmoreland, who died April 12, 1991 and then her second husband, Carl Edward Broady, who died July 10, 2004;
two sons, Kelly & Larry Westmoreland; a grandson, Brian Todd Westmoreland and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a brother, Sonny Williams of Glasgow, Kentucky; a sister, Letha Godsea of Utica, Indiana; four grandsons: Jay (Christy) Westmoreland of Scottsburg, Indiana, Anthony (Amanda) Westmoreland of New Albany, Indiana, Justin Westmoreland of Scottsburg, Indiana & Dale Westmoreland of Scottsburg, Indiana; two granddaughters: Renee (David Hummer) Westmoreland of Edgewater, New Jersey & Carla (Scott) Zellers of Scottsburg, Indiana; ten great grandchildren, Kayla, Larry, Josh, Parker & Peyton Westmoreland, Lisa, Zoe & Wyatt Zellers, Max & Sophie Hummer; three great great grandchildren, Landen, Brian & Lilly Westmoreland.
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Sunday at Collins Funeral Home with burial to follow in Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Saturday and after 11 am Sunday at the funeral home.
