Died Monday, May 30, 1994, in Pascagoula. He was 73, a native of Bogalusa and resident of Pascagoula. He was paster of Spencer Memorial Baptist Church, Pascagoula. He served as Baptist minister for 39 years in Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas, starting five missions which are now active churches. Visiting at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, Miss., 10 a.m until religious services at funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at Lakeside Chapel, Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge, 10 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Era Estay Davidson, Pascagoula; two sons, John Roger Davidson, Baton Rouge and Maj, Dean "Buddy" Davidson, Tampa, Fla.; a stepson, Charles Estay, Denham Springs; three daughters, Jeannette Estay Stevens, Baton Rouge, Susan Estay Ruff, Perkinston, Miss., and Shirley Estay Lee, Woolmarket, Miss.; a brother, Lee Davidson, San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Elizabeth Pittman, Walker and EdythDavidson, Baker; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Preceded in death by first wife, Annie Laura Slayton Davidson; parents, Mabel Standfil and Charles Lee Davidson; and a brother, Charles Davidson Jr.
