B. had five children: Mary Lorene Lockey, Jennie Ray Lockey, Susan Lenora Lockey, Jesse Edward Lockey and William Joseph Lockey.

She is buried with her parents at Bellevue Cemetery, E. B. is buried with his second wife, Neomie Bundy at Rocky Mount Cemetery.

On December 11, 1897, at her residence near Bellevue, Jessie Lorene Hooker, wife of E. B. Lockey, aged 29 years and 2 days. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She lived a consistent member until she left this world for the world beyond. She expressed that she was ready - her way was bright for the glory land. She leaves 5 little children to mourn her loss, with her husband.
