Arlo went to Mason City Junior College and then finished his schooling at Iowa State University.
He worked different agriculture jobs and eventually settled back in Northwood. He enjoyed helping neighbors with farm work, loved working with draft horses and collecting antiques. An avid photographer he loved taking photos of lightning storms.
Arlo was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mark.
Survivors are his daughter, Tamara (Kris) Sorensen and their daughter, Shelby, of Parker City, Ind.; and his sister, Shirley (Gerald) Tweed of Bellevue, Wash. There are also cousins, a niece, nephews and friends.
He will be sorely missed.
