Gladys Martin

Gladys Marie Jackson Martin, 78, of Bedford, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at her residence.
She was born March 8, 1925, in Trimble County, Ky., the daughter of Walter and Bertha Mae Stone Jackson.
Surviving are four daughters, Velma Romans, Dottie Martin and Sherry Colbert, all of Bedford, and Bonnie Hampton of Clarksville; three brothers, Lloyd Jackson, Calvin "Cowboy" Jackson and Alfred Jackson, all of Bedford; two sisters, Lois Adair and Ellen Willhoite, both of Bedford; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sim Martin; two daughters, Betty Tingle and Nancy Lothridge; and two sons, Maurice and Doug Martin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, with burial in the Bedford IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today; from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday; and after 9 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
