William Rinehart Holland 1926-2007

Former owner of Bill Holland Marine, William Rinehart Holland, passed away on December 25, 2007. In addition to being a successful businessman, Bill Holland will also be remembered as one of the marine industries top boat racers; he won four national championships, set nine national records, achieved several hundred first place wins, held eleven world records, and helped design race boats and engines. Currently, Bill enjoyed spending time with his lovely wife and grandkids. Bill resided in Montgomery, Texas and was eighty-one years old. He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Holland, four Children: Cassandra Goss, Denise Parker, Danielle Ballard, Bill Holland Jr., eight grandchildren: Christopher Kane, Constance Kane, Dean Goss, Brittany Goss, Grayson Goss, Geoffrey Parker, Claudia Parker, William S. Holland three great-grandchildren: Christian Donohoe, Jillian Kane, Ryan Kane, life-long friend: Dr. Jim Lyles, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Bill Holland was the patriarch to all of the Holland family. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday, December 28, 2007 at Metcalf Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 9 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Metcalf Funeral Chapel. Interment at Clebern Cemetery is scheduled for 3 P.M.
