SHARYN M. HERREN PORTAGE, IN Sharyn M. Herren, age 60, of Portage, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012. She was born March 16, 1951 in Gary, IN to Robert L. and Margaret (Wildermuth) Fowler, who preceded her in death. She was married to Nicholas F. Herren, who preceded her in death in 2009. Sharyn is survived by her brothers: Bruce Fowler of Kapaii, HI, Rich Fowler (Elizabeth) of Burleson, TX, and Dave Fowler (Pat) of Garland, TX; mother-in-law, Marjorie Herren of Valparaiso, IN; step daughter, Stacy Blackman (Sultan) of Atlanta, GA; one step grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Sharyn was a lifelong area resident. She worked for Kenwal Steel performing Data Entry. Sharyn collected Hummels and Cherished Teddies and was an avid supporter of the Hobart Humane Society. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory, Portage, IN.
