Asher Myers, 94, Antietam died Sunday at his home after a long illness. He was born at Samples Manor, near Harpers Ferrry, a son of the late John Franklin and Mary Jane Myers. He was a retired laborer, and was a member of the Samples Manor Church of God.
Surviving are one son, Oliver, Brunswick; two daughters, Mrs. Nannie Jamison and Mrs. Laura Saylor, Sharpsburg; one brother Edward Myers, Sharpsburg; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Eakles Funeral Chapel in Harpers Ferry, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Samples Manor Church of God. Rev. Harold Beck will officiate, and interment will be in Samples Manor Cemetery.
