Kenneth E. Bittinger Sr., 71, of Bentleyville, died Saturday, October 13, 2007, in Donnell House, Washington, with his family by his side.
He was born June 4, 1936, in Salsbury, a son of Lawrence and Bertha Wilt Bittinger.
Mr. Bittinger was a service technician at Agway Energy, Eighty Four, for many years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of Bentleyville United Methodist Church and enjoyed oil painting and playing the guitar.
On May 31, 1955, he married Pauline Fundis Bittinger, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth E. Bittinger Jr. of Normalville and David L. Bittinger of Bentleyville; a daughter, Helen Bittinger of Charleroi; four grandchildren, Nakia Theakston, Kenneth E. Bittinger III, Jessica Bittinger and Misty Thomas; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are five sisters, a brother and an infant son.
Friends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday in Greenlee Funeral home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, with the Rev. Sang Choi officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, New Centerville.
