Delaney was the daughter of Harvey Arbaugh & Nancy Jane Flint. She married John Fletcher Freeman in 1875, Putnam County, W.Va., and they had six sons; Lemuel, Hersey, Pearl, William, Ernest and Homer. The family returned to Indiana by covered wagon, all except Lemuel who had married and wanted to remain in WV, sometime during the 1890's. Her husband John died in 1897 in Paoli from cirrosis and was buried in Paoli in the IOOF Cemetery. Delaney returned to West Virginia with her sons, once again by covered wagon. She lived out her days in Culloden and was buried with her parents in Mount Moriah.
