Dorothy is Granny and George Ward's daughter and she married Charles Swain and had two children, Larry and Sharon. They lived in Burbank until she died of leukemia at the age of 42 or 43. She was a wonderful athlete and played the piano by ear. She played girl's softball and was a pitcher (Ginny was a catcher) and played in the War Years, like the movie, "A League of Their Own". She was also a great tennis player and was asked to travel with world famous tennis star, Alice Marble as her sparring partner. Her Dad, George, wouldn't let her go as she was only 18. When her Dad died, Granny moved to L.A. with her 3 children: Dorothy, Ginny and Bud. Granny went to work at Lockheed until she retired at 68 and Ginny and Papa D bought her a duplex in Glendale where she and her kids lived. Dorothy went to secretarial college at a school called Woodbury on Wilshire Blvd. It is the same Woodbury that Tricia graduated from. Small world?? Bud joined the Navy.
