Shannon Dean, 46, of McAlester, formerly of Springfield, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in McAlester with Dr. Charles Neff officiating. Burial will be at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens in Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Born Nov. 9, 1965, in Forrest City, Ark., she was the daughter of Donald Ray and Evelyn (Holloway) Massey. She married Alan Dean on Aug. 17, 1985, in Springfield. She worked for the McAlester Public School system and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McAlester. Survivors include her husband, Alan Dean; children, Christopher Ray Dean, Savannah Rose Dean and Brandy Michelle Dean; parents, Donald Ray and Evelyn Massey, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
