John S. Hemmerich, 80, of RR 1, West Montrose, died in K-W Hospital today after a lengthy illness. Born in Woolwich Township Feb. 5, 1884, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hemmerich. Mr. Hemmerich lived in Conestogo most of his life and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Conestogo. He never married. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Clara Woods of West Montrose. Four brothers and three sisters predeceased him. The body will be at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until Thursday at 11 am when removal will be made to the church at Conestogo for services at 2: 30. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Adolph Kappes will officiate.
