"William Lytle Rowan
1802-1833
William Lytle Rowan was born on December 2, 1802, in Frankfort, Kentucky.
He was the third child and the eldest son of John and Ann.
William managed the Federal Hill estate for his father from 1822 to 1833.
He married Eliza Boyce on September 14, 1826, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
He was appointed patroller Captain for Nelson County in 1831.
He and his wife died in a cholera outbreak at Federal Hill on July 27, 1833, and are buried in the family cemetery."
