OBITUARY:
Helen Louise Rogers, 84, of Terre Haute, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, in Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus. She was born July 24, 1927, in Medora, Ind., to Leonard and Anna Shelton. Helen was a retired trust officer for Merchants National Bank.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Rogers of Liberty Township, Ohio and Harry V. Rogers III of Rockton, Ill; one brother, Jerry Shelton of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Wanda Barnett of Terre Haute and Sue Ann Roe of Florida; six grandchildren, David Rogers, Bryan Rogers, Staci Rogers, Ryan Rogers, Jordan Rogers and Brittney Choppi; and two great-grandchildren, Anna Rogers and Sarah Grace Rogers.
Helen was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and liked to bowl.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m.. Thursday, March 1, 2012, in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street, with the Reverend Milton Roe officiating. Private burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 400 8th Ave., Terre Haute, IN 47804.
