Michael 'Mickey' Christian Wagner of Orem, David Junius Jackson of Mapleton, and Wade Banning Ivers of Mapleton, cousins, good friends, and fellow workers, died together July 1, 1994, from injuries suffered in an automobile-train accident near the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon. Michael 'Mickey', 23, was born May 15, 1971, in Provo, Utah, a son of William Sidney Wagner and Suzi Black Wagner. He was a high school graduate and was attending Utah Valley State College. He was employed as a journeyman framer with Blackstone Construction. He loved the outdoors, biking and hiking, and loved music. He was a self-taught guitarist. He was excellent in his work and enthusiastic about life. Survivors include his mother of Orem; his father of El Segundo, California; two brothers and one sister: Daniel Davidson Wagner, Orem, Utah; William Sidney Wagner Jr., Riverton, Utah; KarrieMichelle Wagner Wilson, Kaysville, Utah; his grandparents: Fonzo D. and Belva Black, Mapleton, Utah; three nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by a baby sister, Justine Wagner. Burial was July 6, 1994.
