Electrician Oliver Allard and his wife Helen (Pristas) Allard were a God fearing, loyal couple who made their home in Menominee, Michigan. They were parents of three children. Their first born was a girl who came into the world on 23rd July, 1921. She was baptized on 31st July, as Elizabeth Helen at St. Ann's Church. Their second born was Oliver Gerald. When Elizabeth was seven years old, her mother was expecting a third child. There was joy at the birth of their new daughter, Helen Marie, but sadness and grief as that very same day, in December, 1928, three year-year old Oliver succumbed to spinal meningitis.
