Mrs. Cora Macomber White, widow of New York State Senator Loren H. White, died suddenly Monday night at her home in Delanson. She was 77.
Her husband had also served in the New York state assembly and had been Town of Duanesburg supervisor for several terms. The family has long been active in Democratic politics. Mr. White died in 1923.
Mrs. White was born in the Town of Berne Oct 25, 1870, daughter of Howland, and Eunice Warner Macomber.
She had lived in Delanson for the past 65 years and was married to Mr. White June 28, 1900. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of Duanesburg, and a charter member and past noble grand of the Duanesburg Rebekah lodge. She served the lodge as the second noble grand. She was also a membe r of Keewaydin Council, Daughter s of Pocahontas, of Esperance
Survivors include a son, Galen White; a grandson, Loren H. White; a granddaughter, Elizabeth White of Schoharie; a brother, Howard C. Macomber of Tarrytown; two nephews and a niece.
T he funeral will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. from the Whit e funeral home. Rev. Edward Diamond of Christ Church will officiate and burial will be at Grove Cemetery, Quaker Street.
