She was a daughter of the late Edith Mary Underwood and Charlie Underwood. She attended First Baptist Church of Denmark, where she was a member of the Miriam McMillan Sunday School class. She was devoted to various missions programs at the church, was a member of the 60+ club, and was involved with World Changers, the Homebound Ministry, and Vacation Bible School. She was a retired sales associate at Belk.
Survivors include daughters, E. C. Maggie Maurer of Aiken and Jayne (Al) Johansen of Denmark; sons, Ernest "Bo" (Constance) Corbin of Calabash, NC, Joseph (Johnnie Ruth) Rosa of Denmark and Dennis C. Rosa of Lynn, Mass.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
