~Retta Alice Sheehan Baucom~
Mrs. Retta Alice Sheehan Baucom, age 77, of Marion, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 2:30 pm at Sunrise Rehab & Care Center. A native of McDowell County, Retta was born August 8, 1934 and was a daughter of the late James Leroy Sheehan and Winnie Ray Sheehan. Retta loved and enjoyed working with her flowers and feeding the squirrels. Preceding her in death was her husband, Everette Baucom.
Surviving Mrs. Baucom is a sister, Viola Carter of Dysartsville and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Westmoreland Chapel at 11:00 am with Rev. Milton Hollifield officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Murphy's Chapel Cemetery.
