FORDYCE -- Martha M. Earnest, 93, of Hampton, died February 16, 1998, at Dallas County Hospital.
Born March 25, 1904, in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Harvey King and Martha Elizabeth House King.
She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Earnest.
Survivors include a son, Louis Terrell Earnest of Tinsman; three daughters, Eula Mae Bailey of Pine Bluff and Mattie Marie Cosby and Hazel Hand, both of Hampton; a brother, Herman King of Hampton; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled a for 1 p.m. Thursday at Benton Funeral Home at Fordyce with the Rev. Willie Knight officiating. Burial will be in Earnest Cemetery.
