MARY EMILY KERRIGAN, 95, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at Bethlehem Woods Rehab Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fairfield, Ill., Mary worked in the Flea Market with M-K Sales for years. She was a member of VFW Post 8567, and American Legion Post 499. She has been a resident of the Fort Wayne area since 1944, and worked for years at the Fort Wayne Knitting mills and the Bowser Plant. She enjoyed living in Fort Wayne and loved fishing with family in the nearby lakes. Surviving are her sons, Cleatus (Bettye) Griswold of Alabaster, Ala., and Leon Griswold of Fort Wayne; nephew Neil Vaughan of Burnt Prairie, Ill; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren including grandsons, Jeff, Bobby and Bill Griswold of Fort Wayne, and step-grandson, Bill Flick of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Julia Puckett; husband, Thomas Kerrigan; sons, William "Bill" and Floyd Griswold; and divorced husbands Estell Griswold and Ira Thayer. Graveside Service is 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6600 Covington Road. D. O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Chapel in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association .
