OBIT -
Mrs. Sarah Drake, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Bartlett, at Winslow [Illinois]. She was born in Ohio, Aug. 2, 1856 and was a daughter of Mr and Mrs Elli Chapin. They came to Wisconsin when she was a small child. They lived near South Wayne and later moved to Winslow. She was married to Lorenzo A. Drake forty-six years ago. Thirteen children were born to them, four of whom died in infancy. A daughter, Mrs. Will Wold, died eighteen years ago.
She is survived by the following children: Miss Rita Drake of North Dakota, Amos Drake of Minneapolis, Minn., Clifton Drake, of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Henry Bartlett and Mrs. William Bartlett of WInslow [Ill.], Mrs. Otto Buspschn of Milbank, S.D., and two sons in the army. They are Scott Drake, a member of the 74th Field Artillery and Lorenzo Drake, a member of the marine corps, who has not been heard from since June 1918. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Jane Anderson, of this city, and one brother, Mack Chapin, of Rice Lake, and thirteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Bartlett home at Winslow Monday afternoon at 1:30 and at the Bethel church at 2:30.
