Reed Cemetery is located on the land which was the original family farm of Alex Reed and Winiford Dorinda Stockberger near Halfway, Missouri.
Alexander died 30 December 1871, his obit states that his horse slipped on some ice, and threw Alexander to the frozen ground. His right leg was broken, and he hit and bruised the right side of his head. Two days later he was dead as a result of the head injury.
His death left at least 7 and possibly 10 children orphaned.
Despite the effort of several family members and many years of research, his parents and background remain unknown.
