He and Lucinda was married in Benton Co, IA where they first lived, later lived on land his family had purchased from the government between Marion and Mt. Vernon. They had 4 children: Charles William (1856-1936), Lillie (1863-1969) Anna (1865-) and Effie Jane (Abt 1871-after 1930). Although he has no marker, the death certificate states he was buried at Mt. Vernon and family records indicate he was buried next to his wife.
