Funeral services for Mr. Junior McCormick, age 90, of Auburn, Ga., who passed away Saturday, (Sept. 3, 2011) in the Gwinette Medical Center, will be conducted Thursday Sept. 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Shockley officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. McCormick was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late Benjamin and Barsha Walker McCormick. He was a farmer and a World War II Army veteran. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Kirby McCormick; a son Wilburn McCormick; a sister, Mary McNeal and a brother, Roy McCormick.

Survivors include daughters, Ann Anderson, Jolene Seaborn both of Auburn, Ga.; sons, Walker McCormick of Flintville, Willie McCormick of Goodlettsville, Bennie McCormick of Auburn, Ga.; sisters, Evelyn Newton of Taft, Nell Syler of Flintville, Jewell Limbaugh of Bean's Creek, Jean Hall of Camargo, Betty McCormick of Houston, Texas; brothers, James McCormick of Terra Haute, Ind., Wilburn McCormick of Lynchburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
