Mary Eleanor Bartley Feb. 20, 1922 - Nov. 16, 2011 Bay Area Resident Mary passed away peacefully, Wed., Nov. 16, after a series of strokes and a short bout of Dementia. She was in the constant company of her family up until the last. Mary grew up in Oakland, CA, the daughter of Scottish immigrants David and Annie Taylor. She was preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth, her brothers William, George, David, Robert and Jim. Mary was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than fifty years, Thomas Bartley. Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Thomas and Katharine Bartley, Hercules, CA, Kathleen and Bob Parsons, Livermore, CA., Patricia and Paul Cembura, El Sobrante, CA, Donald and Ramona Bartley, Castro Valley, CA, Robert and Virginia Bartley, Pine Grove, CA. Mary is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Robert Parsons, Jennifer Maclean, Christy and Nikki Bartley, Alexandra Bartley, Austin, Jordan, Roman and Geneiva Bartley, Christy and Elliot Fangul, and two great grandchildren Jacob and Kyle Parsons. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Oakland A.S.P.C.A. Remains will be scattered off the coast of San Francisco.
