He is survived by his wife, Rosella Basco; six daughters, Mrs. Essie Chandler of Babbitt, Nev., Mrs. Azille Paddie, Mrs. Bessie Martin and Mrs. Dorothy West, all of Boyce, Mrs. Pearlie Williams of Epps and Mrs. Ada Gardner of Campti; three sons, Joe Basco and J.D. Basco of Boyce and Archie Basco of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Joe White and Mrs. Zell Cortee, both of Pineville; three brothers, Jessie Basco of Mississippi, S. Basco of Monroe and James Basco of Pineville, 31 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Basco's body will lie in state after 10 a.m. Wednesday at John Kramer & Son Funeral Home. Arrangements for funeral services, to be held in St. Margaret's Catholic church in Boyce, are incomplete. Burial will be in Bay Springs cemetery at Chopin.
