Oscar Hornung, Sauk City, Dies
SAUK CITY - Oscar Hornung, 78, Sauk City, died Friday in a Madison hospital. Born in Roxbury, he lived in the area most of his life. He married Magdalena Haas in 1913. He was a stone mason and farmer before his retirement 15 years ago. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, and its Holy Name Society, and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife; seven sons, Leo, Gilbert, and Paul, all of Sauk City; Alfred, Herman, and Gerald, all of Roxbury; and Brother Raphael, Montreal, Canada; two daughters, Mrs. David [Rita Irma] Burkwald, Menominee Falls, and Mrs. Russell Zeman, Sauk City, and 20 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Norbert's Catholic Church, Roxbury. Friends may call after 7 tonight at the Schwoegler funeral home, Sauk City, where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 tonight by the Holy Name Society, at 8 p.m Sunday by the parish, and at 8:30 p.m. Sunday by the Knights of Columbus.
