Ramell Rhodes, 82, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed from this life Tuesday, February 14, 2012. She was born May 13, 1929 in Henryetta, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dan Grigsby and Minnie Belle (Robertson) Acton.

Ramell enjoyed reading the bible, ministering to family and friends, and working in the yard.

Preceding her in death were both her parents; son, Cecil Ray Rhodes; twin sister, Wynona Mattingly; brothers: Jessie Acton, Gus Acton, Sterling Acton, and Bruce Acton; grandson, Lance Acton; and granddaughter, Amy Rhodes.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Marilyn Rhodes of Tulsa and Virginia Howard of Tulsa; 5 sons: Joe Acton of Wagoner, Bruce Rhodes and wife, Sheryl of Owasso, Steven Rhodes and wife, Michelle of Tulsa, Michael Gene Rhodes of Claremore, and Artie King of Okmulgee; 3 sisters: Glenda Grider of Tulsa, June Blackburn of Oregon, and Sue Dressler of Muskogee; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Jack Francis and wife, Mary and special niece, Melissa Smith.

The service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Don Boudreaux officiating. Services are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home and a guest book is available at www.heathgriffithfuneralhome.com.
