Services for Arthur Sudbeck, 74, Hartington, were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington. Rev. Cyril Werner, Rev. Gerald Gondringer, and Rev. Dean Uhing of Columbus concelebrated the Requiem Mass. Dan Hochstein of Crotan, Conn., was lector. Burial was in St, Michael's Cemetery under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home.
He was born to Henry J. and Elizabeth (Suing) Sudbeck, March 13, 1902 in Hartington and married Rose T. Burbach August 19, 1930, in St. James. Mr. and Mrs. Sudbeck farmed in Cedar County and he belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters. He died Wednesday at a Yankton, SD. hospital.
Surviving are his widow; seven sons, Donald and Henry both of Omaha, Clair of Yankton, SD., and Claude, Lloyd, David and Kevin, all of Hartington; three daughters, Dolores (Merlin) Hochstein of Fordyce, Mary Jean (Gerald) Uhing of Omaha and Sharon (Gerald) Schmidt of Fort Collins, CO.; one brother Rudolph of Wynot; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Arens of Fordyce and Mrs. Regina Wieseler of Hartington; thirty one grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Arsenius Wieseler, Pete Hochstein, Jerome Arens, Alvin Sudbeck, Eugene Burbach, and Richard Heine.
