And he was a A Farmer when Enlisted in Co C 7th Cav Sept 29,1873, Led by Thomas Custer, he was not with the Custer's group. for reasons unknown he was back with the pack horses and didnt get into the battle untill they came up to Reno Hill where they fought untill "Terry" Arrived.
If he had been with Co C at the time he would have no doubt been killed as the compant was wiped out.
