Dora Ethel Ellis, 93, of Robbins, passed away March 20, 2004, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida. Born in Scott County, October 17, 1920, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Silas and Hettie Susan Harvey Raines; her husband, Ezra Otto Ellis; one son, Gordon Waren Ellis; two daughters, Shirley Faye Ellis and Laura Sue Ellis; one sister, Lena Shepard; and brothers: Otha, Lorian, Clarence, Major Ellis, and a set of infant twins. She was a member of Lone Mountain Baptist Church, and taught school for several years. She is survived by four daughters: Marilyn Overstreet of Nashville, Joyce Griffith and husband, Jim, Barbara Clowers and husband, Willard, and Doraleen Loyd and husband, Tommy, all of Robbins; five grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Claude Raines of Robbins; brother-in-law, Dee Ellis and wife, Elsie; special friend, Jack Herman of Nashville; and many other relatives. Interment in Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
