NEW ELLENTON - Raymond H. Carpenter, 81, died Friday.
Born in Aiken County, he was a son of the late Marion and Eva Carpenter.
He was retired from the Graniteville Co. and a Baptist. Mr. Carpenter was also a farmer.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lillian C. Wiles of New Ellenton; sons, Earl E. Carpenter of Aiken and Ray A. Carpenter of Tennessee; a brother, S. T. Carpenter of North Augusta; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at George Funeral Home with burial in Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery.
